Quality Control Supervisor

Primary Role Focus
Ensure inspection processes are followed and accurately completed by Quality Control (QC) Inspectors.  Responsible for the product moving into Inventory meets Packers Plus standards. This role reports to the MX Manufacturing Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and delegate jobs to QC Lead Inspectors
  • Assist the Lead Inspectors in troubleshooting any vendor issues
  • Audit vendors as required to ensure quality control is maintained
  • Ensure QC department has equipment to perform required tasks
  • Assist in the generation and completion of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s)
  • Responsible for ensuring calibration and maintenance of records for Testing, Measuring and Monitoring equipment for all departments
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction of customer needs
  • Ensure the QC department has sufficient manpower to meet requirements
  • Develop and document quality department processes and procedures
  • Monitor and review employee performance
  • Ensure employees are compliant with Packers Plus Health and Safety program
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills
  • 5 years or more experience as a QC Inspector
  • 5 years or more Oil & Gas manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with close tolerance measurements in oilfield manufacturing setting
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of product standards and quality control processes
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in a supervisory role is an asset
Education and Training
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
Physical and Safety Requirements
  • Position is Safety Sensitive and subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing
  • Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
  • Extended periods of sitting and standing
  • Use of computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
