At Packers Plus, quality is defined by our ongoing commitment to enhancing our manufacturing processes, products, and services, ensuring we consistently go beyond our customers’ expectations.
Quality means doing it once, and doing it right.
The Packers Plus Manufacturing facility in Edmonton and Dammam meets the highest standards of quality, holding full certification to API Q1 and ISO 9001:2015.
The Dammam service facility is certified to API Spec Q2, demonstrating compliance with advanced quality management requirements for service supply organizations ensuring reliability, consistency, and the highest level of efficiency for our customers.
Edmonton also holds certifications that authorize the use of the official API Monogram on our products, in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute’s official publications for API Spec Q1 Licenses 11D1 and 19AC, and in full compliance with the applicable License Agreement provisions.
Across both locations, we maintain a fully integrated quality assurance and quality control process that begins at the design stage and follows each product and service-related product assemblies through manufacturing, assembly, testing, servicing, validation deployment, and installation. At the Edmonton facility, automation and robotics are incorporated into these proven processes to ensure consistency and repeatability of critical criteria at every step, supporting the design, development, and manufacture of our patented tools and systems. In addition, the combination of our barcode tracking system and document management software enables a robust, end-to-end traceability system that is second-to-none within the oil and gas service industry.

Quality Control
Packers Plus machined components are subject to controlled inspection processes to verify conformance with specified design requirements prior to assembly. These inspection activities are supported by coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), calibrated testing, monitoring, measuring and detection equipment, and qualified quality personnel.
CMMs are used to verify dimensional conformance with high precision (up to 1/10,000 inch /1/4,000 of a cm). Packers Plus utilizes Zeiss Accura and FARO Arm systems for both fixed and portable inspection.
Inspection programs follow engineering specifications to ensure repeatable results. Measurement data is recorded and retained to support verification, nonconformance identification, and continuous improvement.
Final product assemblies undergo comprehensive Final Quality Control verification, including dimensional inspection, drift verification, maximum outer diameter (OD) checks, and visual and functional thread inspection, to confirm conformity with engineered drawings, customer and assembly requirements. Prior to shipment, Final Shipping QC verifies full traceability of components and assemblies, confirms completion and approval of torque charts, pressure test reports, and function test records where applicable, and ensures all documentation is complete, accurate, and approved prior to product release.
2D Barcode Traceability
All tools and components are assigned unique 2D barcodes capturing material certifications, production data, and testing records. Each tool includes a unique serial number, enabling full traceability, including accessories.
The system tracks products from assembly through field installation (where applicable), with all QA/QC data retained in the document management system for lifecycle traceability, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
Automated assembly robots offer many features and benefits
Track all components throughout the process, ensuring each tool is fully traceable.
Can build on average 80 tools per shift or 240 tools per day, depending on tool type.
